Sterilization plays a vital role in patient safety and reducing the hospital's risk of surgical infection. It is the “backbone” of which Surgical Services relies to keep the Operating Room going. Instruments must be reliable and sterile to protect both the patients on whom they are used, and the employees who handle and process them. Emerging infectious diseases, such as infectious prions, and the development of more complex instruments for use in minimally invasive surgery have resulted in more cleaning and disinfection challenges. The success of a procedure depends on the availability of clean, reliable instruments that are inspected and assembled, packaged and sterilized according to validated processes and available in a timely manner.
Our sterilization technicians know how to get these instruments clean because, they all know, "if it is not clean, it cannot be disinfected, nor can it be sterilized." Greater knowledge = greater safety. All our sterilization technicians are 100% Certified and Registered Central Service Technicians with IAHCSMM, USA (a CS Professional Society based in the United States), and holds current practicing license from HAAD. As they perform their daily tasks, they keep focus understanding that everything they do has a direct impact on infection control – and, above all - patient care and safety.
We are committed to quality, providing continuous quality improvement initiatives thus increasing safety for both our patients and staff. We focus on the needs of our customers based on the latest international standards and recommended guidelines like BS EN ISO 14937, AAMI/ANSI ST 79, and ASNZS 4187.
