Q Do I need a No Objection Letter from my current employer?
A Candidates working in Private Sectors within UAE and applying to work in SKMC including Physicians, Technicians, Nurses and Pharmacists are required to provide a No Objection Letter from their current employer prior to applying
Q I am coming to Abu Dhabi as a tourist and I need hemodialysis three times a week during my stay. Can I visit SKMC for hemodialysis? And does my visa’s medical insurance cover this service.
A Yes, you can have your dialysis done at SKMC. Please provide us with a recent medical report before you arrive to prepare your schedule. As for the payments, it has to be out of pocket as that is not covered by your visa medical insurance.
Q My 3 year old child needs some specific vaccines. Where can I get them?
A All Family Medicine Clinics (FMC) provide vaccinations
Q If my health insurance plan does not cover SKMC, can I still be treated at SKMC as a self pay? Is there discounts for self payers?
A Yes, anyone can get treated at SKMC as a self pay. As all our prices are published by SEHA, we are sorry that we cannot provide any discount
Q My friend is admitted at SKMC and I wish to send a parcel for him/her. Whom should I contact at SKMC to arrange for delivery?

Q I want to bring gifts to patients at SKMC, what is the process I have to go though
A All visits should be coordinated with the Marketing Department.
Q Can I make the residency medical tests at SKMC?
A All tests for residency visas are done at the Disease Prevention and Screening Clinic located next to SEHA head office building on 11th street, Abu Dhabi City.
Q I use a controlled drug that is given only with a prescription and available only at SKMC. Do I have to book an appointment with a physician or can I visit your pharmacy and present the prescription to them?
A All medication should be prescribed by a SKMC physician. In case of unavailability to specific medication in outside pharmacies SKMC’s Pharmacy can provide the medication
Q Does SKMC provide transportation for patients with mobility problems?
A No we don't, there are however private companies that offer such type of services and you can always dial 999 for the police hotline.
Q Does SKMC physician do house visits?
A Yes, under the Home Care Program.
Q What type of health insurances do you accept?
A We only accept DAMAN
Q I need a photographer to take a picture of a patient to renew his/her passport. Does your hospital provide such service?
A No, we don’t have this service. You have to provide a photographer at your own expense, after you get approval from our Marketing Department.
Q Does SKMC provide Home Nursing care?
A No, we don’t provide this service
Q I accompany my brother in the hospital and we need to wash our clothes. Is it possible the hospital's laundry wash our clothes?
A No
Q Does SKMC provide special takeaway meals for diabetics patients?
A No
Q Can I stay with my child at the hospital?
A Yes. All children under 16 years must be accompanied by a parent/guardian overnight. We will provide a suitable place, a comfortable armchair for the parent/guardian and if necessary a bed.
Q How can I make a complaint about the hospital or a member of the staff?
