 Patient Sitters

Hospital policy allows patients to have one person as a sitter. The sitter can help in caring for the patient after the nurse on duty has briefed the sitter on the rules for patient care. Sitters must be at least 18 years of age.

The hospital will supply meals for one sitter. Sitters will not be given any personal care items (such as toothpaste) and should not eat patient's meals.  Visitors and family members are not allowed to bring in food unless physician approval has been given.
