Our cafeteria is operated by a catering company Abu Dhabi National Hotels. SKMC places an emphasis on low fat Healthy Eating options and all food served is trans-fat free.
Food costs average of 13 AED for a meal that includes a main course, vegetables, rice and a beverage.
Open Sunday-Thursday from 07:00 to 17:00, the Spice of Life cafeteria offers light snacks, desserts and beverages.
A light welcome snack of dates and Arabic coffee is provided Sunday-Thursday from 07:00 to 17:00. All Other Family Clinics have vending machines
SKMC has a strict policy related to bringing in food from outside of SKMC for patients and visitors. Patients who accept food from sources outside SKMC are required to eat it as soon as it is received. Food that is not eaten within an hour of receipt is to be removed from the facility or thrown away. The hospital is not permitted to prepare or cook food that has been brought here by visitors for patients.
As food safety is a priority at SKMC, meals are not left in patient rooms longer than one hour before being removed.
