 Billing and Insurance

Our financial services team understands how stressful a hospital visit can be. We want to make sure that your concerns regarding financial commitments to SKMC don’t interfere with your healing experience.

Sheikh Khalifa Medical City partners with Daman, SOS International and other health insurances to ensure your medical needs are covered. If you have any questions regarding your health insurance coverage and the validity of your health plan within SKMC, please talk to us as soon as possible.

Our Patient Financial Counselors are available to answer your questions in the Outpatient Service Center (OSC) from Sunday through to Thursday, 09:00 to 17:00.  Please call +971 2 819 3264 for assistance.  After business hours, please call +971 50 621 5956.

Please remember to bring your Emirates ID card and your current insurance card whether you are being treated as an inpatient or outpatient.  Sheikh Khalifa Medical City's policy is to request your estimated deductible or co-pay when you present for services. We will also request final payment for all services at the end of your visit with us. We accept payment by cash, check and several major credit cards.

It is your responsibility to understand the benefits plan of your health insurance. Before you come, please make sure your health insurance will pay for treatment at SKMC.  If your insurance doesn’t cover you for services at SKMC, we will still welcome you as our patient but will require you to pay the entire amount for services.

Support programs and special requests

SKMC provides a Government Sponsored Health Service (GSHS) to specific patients. Your doctor will let you know if you qualify for this program.
